Meet and greet with your driver guide and transfer to Nyungwe where you will spend the next 2 nights. This park rewards you with amazing primate experiences plus sightings of different bird species.

Nyungwe is home to 13 primate species and among these include Chimpanzees, Vervet monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, olive baboons, and black and white colobus monkeys. Depending on your departure time from Kigali, you may arrive in the afternoon or evening and check in to your booked lodge.

After an early morning breakfast, you will head to the offices of Nyungwe National Park for a briefing after which you will enter the forest and search for the chimps. When you locate them, you will be there for an hour watching how they behave, feed, and spend their day. You are also allowed to take photos and capture videos using non-flashlight cameras.

There is much more you might spot while in the forest and among them include monkeys and baboons. After this great adventure, you will head to the lodge for lunch, followed by joining another team for a canopy walk which will take you up to 70m high from the ground on top of Nyungwe forest. The suspended rope is 160m long. The adventure offers a chance to spot different animals like the colobus monkeys, Vervet monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and olive baboons, especially during the trek to the starting point plus different bird species such as blue-throated brown sunbird and more while up in the air.

Head back to Kigali city, and do a short city tour if your flight is scheduled for the evening or at night. Visit places like the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local markets, the Richard Kandt Museum, Belgian Monument and Hotel Rwanda. You will later be dropped at the airport after this interesting adventure.
