What we do that a booking site can’t
Search engines are very good at one thing: the simplest possible trip, one city to another, on fixed dates. The moment your trip stops being simple, they stop being useful.
Multi-city and open-jaw
Fly into Entebbe, travel overland through Rwanda, fly home from Kigali. Booking engines either refuse this or quote it as two expensive one-ways. We build it as one itinerary.
Baggage that actually fits
Airlines differ enormously on what you can carry to Africa. Putting you on the right carrier can be worth more than a cheaper headline fare once excess baggage is paid at the counter.
Someone to call when it breaks
There are no direct flights from Canada to East Africa. Every route connects somewhere. When a connection fails at 2am, you reach a person who can rebook you, not a queue.
Groups and families
Group travel is quoted from different inventory than the public sees, often with later deadlines and room to change names. Weddings, church groups, teams, extended family.

Gorilla trekking
An hour on foot with a wild mountain gorilla family in Uganda or Rwanda. Permits are capped by law and sell out months ahead, so the sooner you ask, the better your dates.

Questions people ask us
Are there direct flights from Canada to Uganda or Kenya?
No. There is no nonstop service between Canada and East Africa. Every itinerary connects at least once, most commonly through Addis Ababa, Doha, Istanbul, Amsterdam or Brussels. Total travel time is usually somewhere between seventeen and twenty-four hours depending on the connection. Choosing the right connection matters more than most people expect, and it is one of the main things we help with.
How far ahead should I book?
For December travel, start talking to us in August or September. December is the busiest and most expensive period for flights from Canada to Africa, and both seats and gorilla permits get scarce. For travel in the quieter months, roughly two to three months ahead is usually comfortable. If you are travelling urgently, ignore all of this and call us.
How much baggage can I take?
It depends entirely on the airline and the route, and the differences are large. Some carriers serving Africa allow two checked bags in economy where others allow one. If you are carrying gifts, equipment or supplies, tell us before we book, the right carrier can save you more at the check-in counter than a slightly cheaper fare saved you at purchase.
Can you book a trip that flies into one city and home from another?
Yes, and this is one of the strongest reasons to use us. Flying into Entebbe and home from Kigali, or into Nairobi and home from Kilimanjaro, is normal for an East African trip. Booking sites often quote this as two separate one-way tickets, which is usually the most expensive way to buy it. We build it as a single itinerary.
Do I need a visa or vaccinations?
Most travellers need a visa for Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania, and a yellow fever certificate is commonly required in the region. If you are visiting more than one East African country, the East Africa Tourist Visa may cover several of them in one application. We will tell you what applies to your itinerary and point you to the official sources, though the application itself is always yours to submit, we cannot apply on your behalf or guarantee an outcome.
Can you book flights to places other than Africa?
Yes. We book worldwide for clients in Canada and beyond. East Africa is where we have the most depth, but we handle Europe, the Middle East, Asia, the Caribbean and travel within North America too.
Do you charge a fee?
Any service fee is disclosed to you in writing before you pay anything, as part of your quote. You will never be surprised by a charge at the end.
Can you handle a group?
Yes. Groups are quoted differently from individual tickets, often with later payment deadlines and the ability to change traveller names closer to departure. We regularly handle weddings, church and community groups, family reunions and teams. Tell us roughly how many people and we will take it from there.
