Safari Packing List (East Africa)
The Golden Rules
Neutral Colors: Khaki, tan, and olive. Avoid bright colors (can startle animals) and dark blue/black (can attract insects).

Essentials
Clothing: Lightweight, breathable long sleeves (sun/bug protection). Fleece jacket for cool mornings.
Footwear: Broken-in hiking boots (essential for trekking) and comfortable shoes/sandals for the lodge.
Gear: Binoculars, Camera (with extra batteries), Universal Adapter.
Toiletries: Sunscreen, Insect Repellent, Personal Meds, Hand Sanitizer.
Gorilla Trekking Specifics
Waterproof hiking boots with good ankle support.
Gardening gloves (to protect hands from thorny vegetation).
Long socks (to tuck pants into for insect protection).
