The wild
Lions that climb trees, and giants coming back.
The Big Five, and one of the great comebacks of our time.
Lions in the branches
One of the few places on Earth they do.
In the Ishasha plains, lions drape themselves along the branches of fig trees. On the Nile below the falls they share the water with some of the densest pods of hippo in Africa, and crocodiles longer than a car.

The giants return
Back from the edge, in our lifetime.
Uganda’s elephants fell below 800 and have climbed back into the thousands. A bull elephant weighs around 5,000 kg. Uganda protects more Nubian giraffes than anywhere on Earth, and at Ziwa, rhinos are being born on Ugandan soil again.
