We saw the gorillas up close, and got great photos. We also went to Lake Mburo National Park. He we saw giraffes and zebras, hippos and warthogs. We also saw baboons and other animals. It was an amazing experience. We even got to get out of the safari vehicles to get even better photos. Our drivers and guides were wonderful!!Verified Queen Elizabeth/Mbarra Park - 3 day safari tour We were volunteering in Kamengo village at the Agnes Zabali Boys and Girls Club for 2 weeks. The youth at AZBGC, who organize experience tours within the village, arranged a safari tour through Bashem Safari tours. Bernard was an absolutely amazing tour guide. He kept us on track, he accommodated to our preferences on the trip (when we just wanted to hang out poolside for an afternoon instead of going on an additional boat tour). He helped us pick the best watermelon to bring back to the club for the Christmas party. The drive from Kamengo to the park was long and the roads across Uganda are rough but they knew where to stop to eat food that was safely prepared for tourist consumption and for bathroom breaks. The vehicles were not luxurious but quite comfortable, even with driving for many hoursin one day. On the safari tour, the vehicles roof went up so that we could stand and see the 360 view of the safari. Most importantly, I felt safe in the vehicle because they did not take uneccesary risk to try to go faster than the traffic allowed. This tour was an amazing experience and we were grateful that Bernard was such a great tour guide.Verified Exciting trip ever This was the best professional, friendly and educative trip we’ve ever been to.
